Whether you're a seasoned rider or a novice explorer, having the necessary essentials can make all the difference between a memorable journey and a challenging trek. 1. Riding Helmet


Safety first, always! A properly fitting riding helmet is non-negotiable when it comes to trail riding. Protect your most valuable asset – your head – with a sturdy, certified helmet that meets safety standards. We provide riding helmets on our trails.


2. Sturdy Boots


The right footwear is crucial for a comfortable and secure ride. Invest in a pair of durable, closed-toe boots with a small heel to prevent your feet from slipping through the stirrups.

3. Saddle and Bridle


A well-fitted saddle and bridle can make all the difference in your riding experience. Ensure your saddle provides proper support and comfort for both you and your horse, and that your bridle offers optimal control. 4. Water and Snacks


It is imperative to stay hydrated and energized during your ride. At Vonfidel Ranch we provide nutritious snacks and mineral water on our trails .


5. First Aid Kit


Accidents can happen when least expected. Our backup team carries first-aid kit and remains committed to providing immediate assistance when required.


6. Map and Compass (or GPS)


Our competent wranglers carry GPS and are map savvy on the trail keeping track of your location as they maintain radio contact with backup team and rear HQ.


7. Sun Protection


Shield yourself from the sun's harmful rays by wearing sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses. Protecting your skin and eyes is crucial for a comfortable and safe ride. The hat can be carried or handed off to our backup team, so you can wear it during breaks.


8. Weather-Appropriate Clothing


We advise summer wear suited to tropical climates. You may apply your sunscreen and bug/mosquito repellant. Our horses will centainly have bug/fly/mosquito repellant applied to them on the trail. Riding gloves are advisable and so are comfortable boots.

10. Emergency Contact Information


Always have your emergency contact information on hand in case of unforeseen circumstances. Include your name, phone number, and any pertinent medical information in a visible and easily accessible location.
